మా బా అడిగావే! ఇన్నేళ్ళ తర్వాత అలాటి కొచ్చెనేసావంటే, ఇహ చెప్పనక్కరలా!
అది సరే కానీ - మా నాన్నగారి వద్ద ఉన్న కవర్ల కట్టల్లో కొన్ని ....(from 1976 series)

ReplyDeleteమీరు రాసే పోస్టులు చూస్తుంటే కనీసం రోజులు 50 గంటలుంటే తప్ప చాల్దు. ఉద్జ్జోగంతో పాటు ఇవన్నీ చెయ్యాలంటే...మీరసలు నిద్ర పోరా? అమ్మో అమ్మో!
ఏదైనా ఖచ్చితమేనండీ - అంటే ఆరు నూరైనా సరే, నూరు మున్నూరు అయినా సరే - ఖచ్చితంగా 6 గంటలు నిద్ర, 8 గంటలు ఆఫీసు పని, 3 గంటలు మా అమ్మాయి పనులు (చదువు, ఆటలు), 1 గంట ఇంటికి సంబంధించిన పనులు, 1 గంట నా పుస్తకాల గోల, మిగిలిన ఐదు గంటల్లో ఆఫీసు కమ్యూటు, వెబ్సైటు పనులు, బ్లాగు పనులు, మా శంభో శివయ్య పనులు (రుద్రాభిషేకాలు కానివ్వండి, గుళ్ళో వాలంటీర్ వర్క్ కానివ్వండి), పెయింటింగు పనులు కానివ్వండి, హాబీలు కానివ్వండి....గట్రా గట్రా కానివ్వండి....ఏదైనా పకడ్బందీగా జరిగిపోతూ ఉండాల్సిందే! ఆఫీసులో ఉన్నప్పుడు అనవసరంగా ఇతర పనులు, ఇంటికొచ్చాక ఆఫీసు పనులూ అలాగుండవు నాతో! దేనికి కేటాయించిన టైములో దాని పనే!
ReplyDeleteఏదైనా అలా ఒక్క నిముషం ఖాళీగా ఉంటే పిచ్చి పడుతుంది ....అలాగ గడిచిపోతోంది జీవితం ఇప్పటివరకూ...ఇకముందు కూడా అలాగే గడిచిపోతుందనీ ఆశిస్తూ! :)

DeleteAah, Nostalgia! The inspiration came from a book published by National Book Trust on "stamps/Philately" (I still ahve the old book :-)) and I was interested in stamp collecting for two years between 1976 and 1978, and have (almost) all the first-day-covers of this period. Those days, living in villages surrounding Tenali, it was impossible to get hold of first day covers. With some luck, and great delay one could buy some in Tenali G.P.O. Some time in mid-1976 my father's colleague and friend quit his teaching job and went to Hyderabad to take up a new job. He was kind to walk down to Abids G.P.O every time a stamp was released, buy the FDC and post it.
ReplyDeleteLater I gave up big-collecting, but focused on Indian stamps of the period 1947-72. I should have these Indian stamps somewhere. Rest I gave to friends and relatives. But the interest in philately remained until recently. During the college/university days, both in Madras and later in Germany, used to attend the philat. exhibitions and follow the special catalogues on old Indian stamps. In the past ten years I seldom thought about stamps :(.
